DMOZ.org is an important directory that Google pulls from. It is important to make sure you have a listing in this source.

• Navigation to the appropriate section
• Then suggest a web site in the upper right
• Make sure to not be "salesy" with your listing

It can take some time before DMOZ will actually list your website (or update it is there is incorrect information.)
